THIRD PARTY APPS

  • Facebook

In 2021 Department of Education created a Policy to protect information shared with third party services. This new process requires parents to consent for apps and websites we use which collect student information.

As a school we have added all apps and websites used across the school and permission is for your child’s entire schooling at Creaney Primary School unless you withdraw it in writing. As the Department continues to assess the Third Party Services available you may be asked to complete further consent throughout the year.  A notification link will be sent through Seesaw informing parents to complete online.

The form has three parts to complete:

  • The first section of the form is the online service account permission, where the student’s information is completed.

  • The notification section are apps and websites that are used at the school that the Department has classified as the school requiring to notify parents that they are being used, these are very low risk.

  • The bundled consent section, has a list of all websites and apps across the school that the Department has rated as minor risks identified with this service. At the end of the list there is a consent section to sign for all apps and websites in the bundled consent category.

The Department of Education provides online services to students in public schools only for learning-related activities and makes every reasonable effort to educate and protect students from exposure to inappropriate online material and activities.
