CREANEY PRIMARY SCHOOL
In 2012, Creaney Primary School became an Independent Public School (IPS). As an Independent Public School, we plan and work under the guidance of our Business Plan.
The School Board works with the school community to achieve the best outcomes for students. It plays an important role in supporting good school governance, ensuring that resources are used effectively and that community expectations and school priorities reflect the needs of our students.
The functions of School Boards are set out in legislation and include both approval and advisory roles. Boards may contribute to decisions relating to fees and charges, book lists, sponsorship and dress codes. These decisions are made in partnership with the Principal, who ensures they comply with legislation and Department of Education policies. Boards also promote the school within the community and are involved in establishing and reviewing the school’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions, as well as evaluating the school’s performance.
The Creaney Primary School Business Plan (2026–2028) was developed in collaboration with our School Board and staff. We thank each member of the Board for their commitment and contribution to this important work, which will guide our direction in the years ahead.
